Problem Description and Story Details:

Her name is Zeenat, a resident of Qala-e-Naw village, the capital of Kapisa province. She is 33 years old and a mother of three children. She has faced many problems in her life. Her husband was unemployed for a long time and theirlife was difficult. Unemployment and lack of a job made Zeenat's husband decide to travel and he has been away from his family in Iran for 3 years.However, the low income of Tomans comparedto Afghani is not enough to cover the expenses of Ms. Zeenat's family and her husband's parents. Ms. Zeenat had some sewing skills, but she had not developed to the point where she could have many customers.

However, she sometimes sewed clothes for herself and her neighbors. She says: I am very interested in sewing and I want to grow and progress in this field and improvemy skills, but due to the bad economic situation and inability to pay the fees, I could not go to sewing courses until a survey was conducted in April 2024 by the Window of Hope Social

Organization . They identified my family and They talked about starting a sewing workshop. This news was very exciting for me because I could learn sewing skills professionally and earn a good income from it.

Ms. Zeenat's remarkable progress after developing his tailoring skills:

On October10, 2024, the sewing workshopofficially started. Ms. Zeenat attended the sewing workshop with greatinterest. Her goal was to develop her skills during this workshop and set up a small sewing workshop by attracting several students. She wants to learn how to sew any type of clothing professionally so that she can sew according to the taste and interests of customers and offer it to the market. Fortunately, Ms. Zeenat has comevery close to the goal she set during these three months. With the money she received monthly from the sewing workshop, she was able to set up a sewing workshop. Ms. Zeenat says: I succeeded because I turned my dream into reality and made a good income from this job. By starting the sewing workshop and attracting several students, I will not only prepare the orders of customers in Kapisa, but I also plan to prepare all kinds of Afghani clothes and sign a contract with a large clothing store called Qasr Labas in Kabul. I talked to the owner of this store and they

promised me.

Ms. Asma is one of Ms. Zeenat's students,a resident of Qala-e-Naw, the center of Kapisa, and has been sewing in this workshop for a month. She says: "We sew all kinds of clothes here and are working on producing Afghani clothes to start a small business and earn a living through this. We and Professor Zeenat were previously in a bad economic situation, but

fortunately, by being involvedin this sewing workshop, our problems have decreased and our lives are improving. We are grateful to the Window of Hope Social Organization for

supporting the women of Kapisaprovince in such difficult circumstances."
